STEM Tykes Philosophy

Young children require nurturing and stimulating activities. Our research-based programs are intended to provide high-quality, developmentally appropriate education and care to children of all backgrounds. Our highly engaging games and activities foster the development of early STEM skills including creativity, numeracy, problem-solving, and spatial competencies.

We are inspired by inquiry-based learning, the Reggio Emilia approach, and the growth mindset philosophy of education, where creativity, social skills, and children’s interest guide the curriculum. Children direct their learning in collaboration with teachers and families. This program is intended to provide a safe, fun, and happy place for each child attend before and after school.

We also embrace the SPICE model to develop the whole-brain child. This approach engages children in activities that encourage Social, Physical, Intellectual, Creative, and Emotional development. Through a caring and open environment, children hone critical social and emotional skills and develop strength of character. This philosophy, combined with STEM content, fosters the development of capable and confident global citizens.

Before and After School Care STEM Program.
Play, design, create and explore while gaining valuable skills in STEM.

In our enriched programs, students will have the opportunity to play, design, create and explore while gaining valuable skills in the STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

Our research-based programs incorporate highly engaging games and activities that foster the development of early STEM skills including creativity, numeracy, problem solving and spatial skills. Children direct their learning in collaboration with teachers and families. Opportunity to engage in self-directed play, arts and crafts, games and puzzles, computer, drama and music, science and discovery, construction and building area, and outside and nature play are provided. This program is intended to provide a safe, fun, and happy place for each child attend our program.
